Among the major headlines on July 1, the New Jersey Devils announced their 2024-25 season will begin against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Oct. 10.

On Monday, in the middle of NHL Free Agent Frenzy and Prospects Camp, the New Jersey Devils announced their 2024-25 home opener on October 10 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Two weeks ago, the Devils announced their preseason schedule, which begins on Sunday, September 22, against the New York Islanders at Prudential Center.

Other contests leading up to the regular season include:

  • Tuesday, September 24 @ Montreal Canadiens
  • Wednesday, September 25 vs. Washington Capitals
  • Friday, September 27 @ New York Islanders
  • Monday, September 30 vs. New York Rangers
  • Tuesday, October 1 @ New York Rangers
  • Thursday, October 3 @ Philadelphia Flyers

In their past five seasons, the Devils are 1-3-1 in home openers, most recently defeating the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 to start the 2023-24 season.
