New Jersey Devils forward Curtis Lazar joined his team for practice for the first time since undergoing a knee procedure.

NEWARK, N.J. -- The day following the New Jersey Devils' 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings, the team was back on the ice for a noon practice at RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House.

Curtis Lazar, 29, joined his team for their 30-minute practice session. He skated with Colton White, the team's seventh defenseman.

The versatile forward suffered a lower-body injury against the Anaheim Ducks on Oct. 27. The club announced he underwent a successful left knee procedure a few days later.

Through 12 games, Lazar has one goal and one assist. Both came over his last four games before his injury was sustained. Veteran Justin Dowling was recalled from the American Hockey League and has been playing in Lazar's spot as the fourth-line center.

It is worth noting that the Salmon Arm, British Columbia, native is still listed on the injured reserve. The coaching staff could take a similar approach to Nathan Bastian, who spent several weeks skating with the team before returning to action.

The Devils used the following lines and pairs Friday afternoon:

Ondrej Palat - Jack Hughes - Jesper Bratt

Timo Meier - Nico Hischier - Dawson Mercer

Paul Cotter - Erik Haula - Stefan Noesen

Kurtis MacDermid - Justin Dowling - Nathan Bastian

    Brenden Dillon - Dougie Hamilton

    Jonas Siegenthaler -Johnathan Kovacevic

    Luke Hughes - Brett Pesce

    Jacob Markstrom

    Isaac Poulter

Extras: Colton White, Tomas Tatar, Curtis Lazar
