The New Jersey Devils are making some changes behind the bench.
The Devils have announced that they will not be renewing the contract of assistant coaches Ryan McGill and Chris Taylor. In addition, the Devils shared that head video coach Jerry Dineen and Utica Comets assistant coach David Cunniff will also not be back.
McGill was with the Devils since the 2022-23 season, while Taylor joined the team for the 2020-21 campaign. However, the Devils are now moving on from the pair of assistant coaches.
The Devils also announced that they have started looking for their replacements.
These Devils finished this season with a 42-33-7 record and made it back into the playoffs after missing them in 2023-24. The Comets, on the other hand, finished at the bottom of the AHL's North Division with a 31-33-6-2 record.
