DraftKings and ESPN have released their Stanley Cup odds for the 2024-25 NHL season. Where do the New Jersey Devils rank?

The 2023-24 NHL season was over when the Florida Panthers hoisted the Stanley Cup. The only item on the league's agenda list is to hand out the remaining awards on Thursday night since the Entry Draft on Friday marks the beginning of a new hockey year.
Betting and gambling have been around forever, but now that it's become legal to bet on everything, the side hassle is woven into the fabric of all professional sports.
So, with a new season quickly approaching, it is never too early to lay out the odds for which teams will win the Stanley Cup in 2024-25.
Surprisingly, despite the significant step back in 2023-24, the New Jersey Devils begin their summer with the seventh-best odds to win the championship next season, at +1300, according to DraftKings.
Meanwhile, ESPN released its odds, bumping the Devils to sixth overall at 12-1 and to +650 to win the Eastern Conference.
For perspective, the Panthers open up with the best odds (+900), tied with the Dallas Stars, who leapfrogged the Edmonton Oilers (+950).
In case anyone was wondering who made up the bottom of these respective lists, the San Jose Sharks, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Anaheim Ducks appear to be in the running for the 2025 Draft Lottery before opening night.
