Devils' forward Tyler Toffoli celebrates his second hat trick of the 2023-24 season.

NEWARK, N.J. -- "Luke Hughes intercepts. Three-on-two. Luke Hughes feeds, shot, he scores! Tyler Toffoli! A hat trick and a win!"

The excitement of New Jersey Devils' MSGSN play-by-play announcer Bill Spaulding was contagious as he called Toffoli's game-winning goal against the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday.

It was a wild night in Newark, New Jersey, as the Devils led the Golden Knights 3-1 before trailing their opponent 5-3 and coming back to win 6-5 in overtime.

A sold-out crowd of 16,514 fans watched Toffoli, 31, score his second hat trick of the 2023-24 campaign. It marked the veteran's sixth career hat trick. He scored two goals in the middle frame before his overtime game-winner.

Per the Devils PR, "Toffoli's hat trick and overtime winner marked the third instance in Devils team history that a player earned a hat trick and overtime winner in a game."
