Two New Jersey Devils players were in action today as group play standings start to take shape.
Nico Daws made his first start for Team Canada today and picked up a 4-1 win over Norway. He wasn't all that busy making just five saves on six shots which all came in the third period. He also picked up an assist on Jared McCann's goal in the third period. Dawson Mercer was removed from the lineup in place of Ridly Greig. Mercer has struggled to produce offensively at the World Championship.
Luke Hughes has been dynamite for Team USA so far and added another assist to his tally on Matt Boldy's goal. Team USA picked up a crucial win which brings them to seven points and into third place in Group B.
Hughes and Ondrej Palat will be in action tomorrow when Team USA takes on Poland and Czechia takes on Austria.
