EAST MEADOW, NY -- Ahead of Monday's practice, the New York Islanders have placed defenseman Sebastian Aho on Injured Reserve with an upper-body injury.

Aho was injured early in the first period against the Ottawa Senators after going awkwardly into the boards.

The move is retroactive to Nov. 24. Per NHL rules, Aho must spend, at a minimum, seven days. He is eligible to return on Dec. 1 and play against the San Jose Sharks on Dec. 2.

Defenseman Grant Hutton, who was recalled Saturday afternoon and played later that night against the Philadelphia Flyers, is back up with the NHL squad after being returned (paper transaction) to Bridgeport on Sunday.

Mike Reilly, the defenseman the Islanders claimed off waivers from the Florida Panthers on Saturday afternoon, will practice with his new team this morning.

You can listen to Rosner talk Islanders hockey on Hockey Night in New York with co-host Sean Cuthbert on Sunday nights at 8 PM ET during the season.
