When the announcement came out that CapFriendly had been bought by the Washington Capitals, everyone went nuts trying to figure out where to go for contract information.
The easy answer was PuckPedia, who has done valiant work to step up their game since the big news.
With the help of Tim Heibert, a former employee of CapFriendly who runs the @NHL_Rosters "X" handle, The Hockey News now has not just its own site for all team rosters, which includes its salary cap information, but also will be updated with everyday lineups.
It's truly your one-stop shop ahead of puck drop.

Once at the site, you can scroll to the right to see each player's stats, which will be updated daily as well.
A very interesting feature that was added was each player's advanced analytics, which includes CF% (Corsi for), iGx (Individual expected goals), and GSAx (goals saved above expected) for goaltender stats.
These stats allow viewers to see a player’s expected stats and provide a way to show how a player's performance is over the course of the season.
