All the stories heading into tonight's contest against the Wild.

The New York Rangers (8-2-0) take on the Minnesota Wild (3-5-2) on the road tonight at 8:00 P.M (EST). Here are five stories heading into the match.

Old Friends: The New York Rangers take on Mats Zuccarello and Vinni Lettieri tonight. Zuccarello was a New York Ranger for 9 seasons, helping the team advance to the 2014 Stanley Cup Final. He was and still is a fan favorite. He currently has 2 goals, 8 assists, and 10 points this season.

Vinni Lettieri played for the Rangers from 2017-2019 and does not have a point in 5 games skated this season.

Middling Wild: The Wild are struggling, currently holding a 3-5-2 record. They have the worst PK in the NHL and will play against the third-best power-play unit in the New York Rangers tonight. Chris Kreider leads the league with 5 goals on the man advantage. Read the Wilds angle here.

Patch Work: The New York Rangers will be without Adam Fox and Filip Chytil as well as Igor Shesterkin and Barclay Goodrow for this contest. The club called up Jonny Brodzinski, Connor Mackey, and Louis Domingue to fill in the roster.

John Be Nibble John Be Quick: Johnathan Quick has a 2-0-0 record, has a shutout, a .982 save percentage, and a 0.41 GAA in 2 starts this season. It is a complete turnaround from his poor preseason performance. The former L.A Kings starter is red-hot and primed for a solid outing in Minnesota.

Going For the Extra Point: The Rangers are currently on a six-game win streak, in search of their 7th victory in a row tonight. The Rangers went on two separate 7-game win streaks in 2022-2023.
