The Blueshirts are 3-5-1 in January and come off of a 5-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.
They are 2-4-1 in their last seven games, including a four-game losing streak, and a pair of back-to-back wins against the Washington Capitals and Seattle Kraken last week.

Peter Laviolette told reporters that Erik Gustafsson is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, and won't suit up tonight.

The 37-year-old netminder won the Stanley Cup twice as a King in 2012 and 2014, was a Vezina Trophy finalist twice (2012, and 2016), a part of a William M. Jennings Trophy in 2014 and 2018.
Jonny Brodzinski will skate against the team that drafted him in the fifth round of the 2013 draft. He skated in 54 games for the Kings from 2016-2019, recording 11 points (six goals, five assists).
Kings Notes: The Kings are 1-10 in their last 11 games, scoring 24 goals (2.18 per game) and have allowed 37 goals (3.36 per game).
