Patrick Williams talks about the influence the Hartford Wolf Packs general manager Ryan Martin has on the organization.

The New York Rangers signed Ryan Martin as assistant general manager and general manager of the Hartford Wolf Pakcx on August 25th, 2021.

It is no coincidence that the Rangers prospects are succeeding. Players like Brennan Othmann, Brett Berard, and Dylan Garand are benefiting from the evolution the organization has undergone.

Martin worked in the Red Wings organization for 16 seasons, 11 of those as the assistant general manager. In that role, he spent 8 seasons as the Red Wings AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins. With Martin at the helm, the Griffins won the 2017 Calder Cup and never missed the post-season under his guidance.

With the New York Rangers, he oversees player personnel decisions, development, contract negotiations, and movement.

Patrick Williams joined PuckTalkCS to talk about Martin's influence over the last two seasons.
