Filip Chytil was not seen at Saturday's practice while he won't travel with the Rangers to start their four-game road trip.

There is a further update on Filip Chytil’s condition.

Filip Chytil did not practice with the rest of the New York Rangers on Saturday and will not travel to start the team’s four-game road trip as he continues to get evaluated with an upper-body injury.

However, the team did not rule out the possibility of Chytil joining the Rangers during the trip depending on how evaluations go.

Chytil suffered this injury during New York’s Thursday night game against the San Jose Sharks after colliding with teammate K’Andre Miller.

After making a brief return, Chytil exited and was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the contest.

The Rangers called up Jake Leschyshyn from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey Game as Chytil could miss some games.

During Saturday’s practice, Jonny Brodzinski played on a line alongside Will Cuylle and Kaapo Kakko, filling in Chytil’s spot.
