The 24-year-old forward played in 10 games this season, suffering an upper-body injury on Nov.2 that has kept him sidelined for 36 games.

Chytil is a budding star on Broadway, setting career highs in all stat categories in 2022-2023, signing a $4.4 x 4-year deal on March 29th, 2023.

The 2017 first-round draft pick has established himself as a key part of the team in parts of seven seasons in New York.

His scoring touch and ability to transition with speed-up ice have been missed by a Rangers team that needs help in both departments.

Chytil initially played in between Artemi Panarin and Vincent Trocheck for the first 10 games of the season, recording six assists and propelling his linemates to strong starts to the year.

With the young Czech forward out, Vincent Trocheck moved up into the 2C hole and has sustained the line success in Chytil's absence.

If he can return, the Rangers will have an internal boost with scoring and speed.
