New York Rangers general manager Chris Drury announced his second signing of the day on Tuesday afternoon.

After signing defense prospect Victor Mancini earlier in the day, they've inked 21-year-old forward Kalle Vaisanen to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Rangers selected the six-foot-four forward back in 2021 during the fourth round (106th overall) of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

Vaisanen has played the last three years in his home country of Finland's highest league, Liiga for the team TPS. During the 2023-2024 season, he recorded 14 points in 58 games, scoring nine goals and adding five assists.

Before joining the top team, Vaisanen played for TPS' U-20 and U-18 clubs. With the U-20 team, he put up 50 points in 45 games, with 17 goals and 33 assists.

While playing in Liiga, Vaisanen also represented Finland at the World Junior Championships twice. The big forward was on the 2022 silver medal team and was named a top three player on the 2023 team.
