From behind the net, Panarin found a streaking Ryan Lindren who blasted the puck past goaltender Lukáš Dostál for his first goal of the season.
Lindgren missed the first five games of the year with a jaw injury that he suffered in the preseason.
Through eight games, Panarin already has recorded six goals, nine assists and 15 points as he is on pace for a historic season.
