With the NHL regular season quickly approaching, teams around the league are starting to place players on waivers more frequently. This will only continue to be the case as we keep getting closer to the start of the campaign.

Former Philadelphia Flyers players Kevin Connauton and Justin Bailey are among the latest players who hit the waiver wire today (Sept. 30).

Connauton, 34, signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Utah Hockey Club during this offseason. This was after the 6-foot-2 defender spent the entirety of this past season with the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League (AHL). In 61 games with the AHL squad, he had three goals and 18 points.

Bailey, 29, appeared in a career-high 59 games last season with the San Jose Sharks last season, recording five goals, 14 points, and 76 hits. He also played in 16 games for the San Jose Barracuda, where he had six goals and 11 points.
