The Philadelphia Flyers have signed one of their prospects to an entry-level contract.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today (Sept. 27) that they have signed defenseman Spencer Gill to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Gill, 18, was selected by the Flyers as the 59th overall pick of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-4 right-shot defenseman has good upside, and he will now look to continue to trend in the right direction with his development after landing this ELC.
Gill spent this past season with the Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL, posting 12 goals, 34 assists, and 46 points in 65 games. Overall, it was an impressive season from the Moncton, New Brunswick native, but especially when noting that he had zero goals and four assists with the QMJHL squad just back in 2022-23.

Gill was recently re-assigned to Rimouski by the Flyers, so he should be an essential part of their blueline in 2024-25. It will be fun to see how well he performs for the junior squad from here.
