The Philadelphia Flyers best prospect will miss a special league game this coming weekend.

The Philadelphia Flyers have done well over the last few drafts. They have accumulated a good stable of players with various different skills and strengths.

Denver Barkey, Emil Andrae, Oliver Bonk and Cutter Gauthier are just a few of the standouts in the prospect pool. Their best prospect is currently in Russia putting his stamp on the KHL.

Matvei Michkov is performing extremely well in the top Russian hockey league. He has 11 goals and 26 points in 29 games this season.

Yesterday it was reported that he would miss some of the upcoming games for Sochi - now it looks like that illness will carry into the weekend.

The KHL All-Star Game is scheduled for this weekend, December 9th and 10th in St. Petersburg.

There is no other information available at this time as to the nature of Michkov's illness.
