The Philadelphia Flyers are playing against the Pittsburgh Penguins again tonight, after defeating them by a 4-3 score on Saturday. The shootout victory was the Flyers 12th of the season.

Now that the Flyers are healthier on the backend once again, they have two extra bodies with the NHL club. It isn't surprising then, to see them make a move.
Louie Belpedio has been placed on waivers. My sense here is that the team decided it was better to have him play in the AHL than sit in the NHL.

Belpedio has been a healthy scratch for the last six straight games. The right-handed defenseman has averaged 13:12 on the third pairing this year. With four points in 12 games, he's producing decently given his role.
