In a season where Flyers prospects like Denver Barkey, Oliver Bonk, and Matvei Michkov have been thriving in their respective leagues, there's really no better time for the NCAA National Tournament to come around to showcase some deeper cuts from the Flyers' draft business.

Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK - Five Flyers Prospects To Feature In NCAA National Tournament

In a season where Flyers prospects like Denver Barkey, Oliver Bonk, and Matvei Michkov have been thriving in their respective leagues, there's really no better time for the NCAA National Tournament to come around to showcase some deeper cuts from the Flyers' draft business.

Fans can tune in to see five Flyers prospects participating in the tournament, representing five different schools, and will be treated to what are sure to be thrilling matchups—and maybe even seeing one of the Flyers' prospects win a national title.

    Devin Kaplan (Boston University)

The 2022 3rd round pick from New Jersey has five goals and 15 assists in 34 games, and at 6-foot-3 and 200 lbs., Kaplan has established himself as a physical presence to be reckoned with on the ice. He shows a penchant for all of the cornerstones of "Flyers hockey"—particularly getting in the thick of puck battles and putting bodies on the line—and his physicality is an excellent advantage that will make him one to watch for Flyers fans following this tournament.

Current Flyer Joel Farabee also played for Boston University.

The Terriers will be taking on the Rochester Institute of Technology on Mar. 28 at 5:00 p.m.

    Alex Bump (Western Michigan University)

The 2022 5th round pick has 13 goals and 21 assists in 37 games this season, enjoying a successful individual year since withdrawing his commitment to the University of Vermont and transferring to Western Michigan. On Mar. 21, Bump was honored with a spot on the National College Hockey Conference's All-Rookie team after receiving multiple recognitions throughout the season, including being named Rookie of the Month in February.

Recent Flyers call-up Ronnie Attard is also a Western Michigan alumni.

The Broncos are slated to play Michigan State University on Mar. 29 at 5:00 p.m.

Owen McLaughlin (University of North Dakota)

The Flyers' 2021 7th round pick and Pennsylvania native has 13 goals and 25 assists across 38 games, showcasing a dramatic improvement in offensive production from last season. He's been one of North Dakota's most prolific and impactful players, which will be much-needed against the competition he and his teammates will be facing.

The Fighting Hawks will be facing off against the University of Michigan on Mar. 29 at 7:30 p.m.

    Massimo Rizzo (University of Denver)

A 6th round pick drafted to the Carolina Hurricanes in 2019, Rizzo's rights were traded to the Flyers in 2023. Despite dealing with an injury for part of the season, Rizzo has dominated as Denver's top center, recording 10 goals and 34 assists in just 28 games. The Burnaby, British Columbia native comes into this competition with plenty of credentials, winning the NCAA National Championship in 2022 (current Flyer Bobby Brink was also on that team), along with being a Hobey Baker Award nominee during the 2022-23 season

The Pioneers will play against UMass on Mar. 28 at 12 p.m.

    Bryce Brodzinski (University of Minnesota)

The Flyers' 2019 7th round pick has had a great season, recording 13 goals and 19 assists in 32 games this season, a career high for points. Brodzinski is in his fifth year at Minnesota, utilizing the extra year afforded to athletes who had seasons affected by COVID-19.

The Gophers will face off against the University of Omaha on Mar. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
