The Philadelphia Flyers are on a tremendous streak for the month of December. They have opened the month with a 7-0-2 record, earning at least one point in every game they have played.

This is a testament to their ability to commit to defense and work hard to earn offensive scoring chances. They have scored many goals off the rush while still having the fourth ranked penalty kill and averaging 2.61 goals against per game over the whole season
Their numbers over the month of December are even more impressive:
Their penalty kill percentage and goals against per game really stand out here. In December they have an 89.3% kill rate. That's three percent better than their numbers on the entire season.
Their goals against has decreased significantly - from 2.61 on the season to 2.11 in December alone. That's a 0.5 improvement. It's great to see the team becoming more comfortable and committed to the system John Tortorella wants them to play.
Tonight the Flyers play against the Nashville Predators. Here were the line combinations at this morning's practice.
Samuel Ersson is your projected starting goalie. Carter Hart was at practice but does not seem well enough to play. Cal Petersen will be the backup tonight.
Game time is 7 PM Eastern Standard Time.
