This Flyers defenseman is starting to heat up significantly.

As Denver Barkey heads back to the London Knights after spending the last couple of months watching the Philadelphia Flyers' training camp from the sidelines, he reflects on his recovery from illness and coming back a stronger player than before.

The Philadelphia Flyers suffered a tough 3-2 shootout loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night. With this, they have a 19-20-6 record and now trail the Blue Jackets by four points for the fourth-place spot in the Metropolitan Division standings.

Jamie Drysdale contributed offensively again for the Flyers in this shootout loss, as he had an assist on Bobby Brink's first-period goal. With this, Drysdale has extended his point streak to three games, where he has four over that span.

Drysdale's hot streak started on Jan. 11, when he had a big night against his former team, the Anaheim Ducks. The 2020 sixth-overall pick scored a nice goal and added an assist. He has not slowed down since. This is immensely encouraging for the Flyers, as Drysdale is one of their most promising young players.

With this strong stretch of play, Drysdale now has two goals and 11 points in 33 games this season for the Flyers. It will be fascinating to see how he performs for Philadelphia from here.
