Alexa, play "Gonna Fly Now."

The Flyers pulled up to MetLife Stadium in some serious Philly style to kick off the official Stadium Series festivities.
It's been a fun couple of days for the Flyers as they prepared for a huge outdoor game against the New Jersey Devils. From taking in the sheer size of the venue to getting time with their loved ones on the ice after practice, it's been a memorable event.
To add to the theatrics, both teams were anticipated to make their entrances into the stadium wearing coordinated outfits fitting a theme related to where each team plays. There was a plenty of speculation surrounding what the Flyers would choose as their theme—Ben Franklin, Eagles gear, dog masks, those paper bags—but they went for a very classic Philadelphia reference.
Rocky Balboa, of course.
Jogging off the team bus in gray sweatsuits, black beanies, black Chuck Taylors, and hands wrapped, the Flyers recreated Rocky's iconic outfit as he ran from his home in South Philadelphia to the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Apparently, Garnet Hathaway was the one that initially came up with the idea to do a Rocky theme, and the Flyers PR team "just ran" with the idea.
The Devils similarly embodied an iconic media depiction of New Jersey, stepping off their bus dressed as Tony Soprano (complete with tracksuits, slicked back hair, and espresso cups).
