This Flyers forward was named as a potential target for the Rangers.

As Denver Barkey heads back to the London Knights after spending the last couple of months watching the Philadelphia Flyers' training camp from the sidelines, he reflects on his recovery from illness and coming back a stronger player than before.

Philadelphia Flyers forward Joel Farabee has been talked about often in the rumor mill since this past off-season. It has carried over to this campaign, and it is likely that this will only be more of the case as we get closer to the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline.

In a recent article for The Athletic, Arthur Staple discussed 10 potential trade targets for the New York Rangers, and Farabee made the list.

After a hot start to the season, things have gone horribly for the Rangers since. They have won just two out of their last 10 games. Due to this, they have already made a major move, trading former captain Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks.

After ridding of Trouba's $8 million cap hit, the Rangers are in a prime position to make some notable moves. They also could use some help in their middle six, so it could make sense for the Blueshirts to consider making a push for Farabee.

However, trading Farabee to the Rangers would come with clear risk for the Flyers. This is because he is a young winger with good upside. In addition, the Rangers are in the same division as the Flyers.

Nevertheless, it will be intriguing to see if Farabee garners interest from the Rangers this season. If not New York, it is likely likely that other teams will keep an eye on the 2018 first-round pick.
