The Philadelphia Flyers have announced their starting goalie for their December 4th game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Philadelphia Flyers face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second game in three days. They won their first game in a shootout - with Samuel Ersson stopping every shot that came his way after regulation - and Sean Couturier scoring the shootout winner.

Earlier today the Flyers put Louie Belpedio on waivers. Should he go unclaimed he will report to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL.

Also earlier today, the team confirmed that Carter Hart will be the starter tonight.

Unless there is a back-to-back scenario or heavy travel, I'd expect Hart to get the bulk of starts for the Flyers. He's been performing at the level that the team needs him too.

He's not providing Vezina-level goaltending, but he's keeping the team competitive. They have a chance to win whenever he's in net.

Tonight's game starts at 7PM Eastern Standard Time.
