There's something about Flyers prospects playing for the London Knights...

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports - Flyers Prospect Lighting It Up in OHL

It's well-known that the Flyers' 22nd overall pick in 2023, Oliver Bonk, has been seriously impressing for the London Knights in the OHL. Excellent in both his defensive performances and his power play presence, Bonk has naturally been a hot topic of conversation among excited Flyers fans. But let's not forget about Bonk's teammate, close friend, and fellow Flyers prospect Denver Barkey.

Barkey, a Flyers third-round pick in 2023, has been proving why Flyers fans should be getting amped for him, shining on offense for the Knights.

The Newmarket, Ontario native recently moved up to third on the OHL's scoring list with 70 points (26 goals, 44 assists) on the season so far. He also helped the Knights to a shootout victory against the Owen Sound Attack with a calm, sharp shot to call the game (and a nice little "silencing the crowd" celebration to follow).

Barkey also currently leads the OHL in shorthanded goals, scoring his seventh one against the Eerie Otters on Feb. 2.

The 18-year-old is used to putting on a show, having had a seriously impressive display during the Flyers' pre-season camps last year. He dazzled his audience so much that in an interview with PHLY Sports, speaking to Charlie O'Connor, Barkey said that the Flyers' main mission for him while playing in the OHL was to "make an impact."

He said: "That was the big thing with them—they wanted me to come back here and make an impact on both sides of the puck, and that was my main focus coming back [to Ontario]."
