Philadelphia Flyers prospects Oliver Bonk and Denver Barkey will finish out their incredibly successful season with the London Knights as they gear up to take on the Saginaw Spirit in the Memorial Cup final.
As the No. 1 seed in the tournament, the Knights were able to advance directly to the finals after defeating the Spirit in their last game on May 29.
London has had a dominant tournament to cap off their incredibly successful postseason, which saw them capture the OHL Championship title after sweeping the Oshawa Generals.
Bonk and Barkey have both been important contributors the Knights' victories, with both players recording points in the May 29 game, including a goal from Barkey.
This game will be the very last of the junior hockey season, giving the pair about a month off before the Flyers' development camp commences in early July, where they are both expected to participate.
Bonk and Barkey have both signed their entry-level contracts with the Flyers, but GM Danny Briere has stated that the organization plans for them to play one more year in the OHL (along with being hopeful that both players earn spots on Team Canada for World Juniors).
The Knights and Spirit will face off on June 2 at 7:30 p.m.
