The Philadelphia Flyers have announced that they have signed forward Noah Powell to a three-year entry-level contract that kicks in next season. In addition, the Flyers shared that Powell will spend the remainder of the 2025-26 season with their AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Powell spent this season with Arizona State University, where he recorded seven goals, 12 points, and 32 penalty minutes in 34 games. This is after the 6-foot-2 forward had five points in 17 games with Ohio State University and 22 points in 28 games with the OHL's Oshawa Generals this past season.
Powell was selected by the Flyers in the fifth round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft with the 148th overall pick. The big winger is known for playing a gritty game and could be a solid part of the Flyers' roster later down the road.
