The 2024 NHL Combine took place in Buffalo, NY, on Saturday, and reports have emerged on which prospects the Philadelphia Flyers made contact with during the event.
The Flyers have two picks in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft—12th overall, and a later-round pick acquired from the Florida Panthers that will depend on whether or not the Panthers are victorious in the Stanley Cup finals.
According to a report from Russ Cohen, the Flyers spoke to a variety of players (as most teams do at the Combine), but it looks as though they were particularly interested in Carter Yakemchuk, whose name has circulated before in conversations of who Philadelphia could draft at No. 12.
Other players the Flyers made contact with are center Lucas Pettersson (Modo Hockey), defenseman Leo Sahlin-Wallenius (Vaxjo Lakers HC J20), left winger Teddy Stiga (USNTDP), and defenseman Tanner Henricks (USHL).
Center Berkly Catton (WHL) also was reported to have spoken with 22 teams, "so anybody in the top 20 is a candidate to take him" and that "he will go sometime after 7."
The 2024 NHL Draft will be held in Las Vegas, taking place from June 28-29.
