More importantly, the Flyers won against the Penguins in two straight games. They presently sit third in the Metropolitan Division with 28 points - one behind the Carolina Hurricanes and nine behind the New York Rangers. They survived the "Metro Madness" of this past week and look to a new challenge on Thursday.

The Flyers head to Mullet Arena to play the Arizona Coyotes. This will be the first of two games against the Coyotes this season.

The Coyotes present a unique challenge to the Flyers, primarily because of the win streak they are on. They have defeated the last five Stanley Cup Champions on their current five game win streak.

The streak started against the Vegas Golden Knights on November 25th. They shutout the reigning Champions with a 2-0 victory. Connor Ingram earned his first shutout of the season that night by stopping all 34 shots that came his way.

Three days later they won a hard fought game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Ingram stopped 30 of 31 shots while the team collectively rallied for their goalie by blocking 24 shots.

The Colorado Avalanche were next, and they got off to a quick lead against the Coyotes but ultimately fell 4-3 to them in overtime. That loss ended the Avalanche's own four game winning streak.

The last two games of the Coyotes winning streak have come against the St. Louis Blues and the Washington Capitals - by a score of 4-1 and 6-0 respectively.

Whatever the Coyotes are doing right now, the Flyers are going to be hard pressed to beat the red-hot Yotes. If they stick to their game however, they stand a chance at winning.
