The Lehigh Valley Phantoms took on the Hershey Bears in Game 2 of the Atlantic Division Semifinal playoff series where, despite recording nearly double the amount of shots as the Bears, the Phantoms fell 5-1, bringing their series record to 2-0.
The Bears took an early 2-0 lead, thanks to a pair of Ethen Frank goals.
Cal Petersen also made an impressive diving save to prevent Jimmy Huntington from making it 3-0.
Rookie defenseman Hunter McDonald was able to score his first AHL goal to bring the score to 2-1, but the Bears would respond with two more goals in the second period.
While the Phantoms continued to run up their shot count, but they couldn't take advantage of powerplay chances to run up their score. An intense drive from Olle Lycksell, coupled with a penalty shot from Bobby Brink that was kicked away from the net meant that the score remained 4-1 in the Bears' favor.

There was no lack of passion from either team as the game wound down, with Louie Belpedio and Pierrick Dube getting into it with just under three minutes left in the game, sparking an all-out brawl that saw every player on the ice mixing it up with someone. Seven Phantoms players were assessed game misconducts, while the Bears took six.
The series will continue on the Phantoms' home ice, with Game 3 taking place on May 8.
