Keys to the game & predictions for Philadelphia Flyers vs Nashville Predators

Winners of four games straight the Philadelphia Flyers look to maintain their winning ways tonight. It will be the first time that the Flyers play the Nashville Predators this season.

    Cam York celebrates a goal.

Even though there is trade buzz surrounding the team, they have no plans of slowing down. The team keeps finding ways to win and that will be put to the test tonight.

    Keys to the Game

The Flyers are one of the top defensive teams in the NHL. According to Money Puck, they have the sixth-lowest expected goals against among all 32 teams. Simply put, they are limiting the amount of high danger scoring chances to ease the workload of their goaltenders.

On the flip side, the Predators have been an impressive team offensively. Looking once again at Money Puck, they have the eighth-highest expected goals for in the league.

    Carter Hart.

The major focus will be limiting the high danger shots against their goalie. The Predators have 68 high danger shots for this year. Only the Vegas Golden Knights, Edmonton Oilers and New York Islanders have had more high danger shots.

The Flyers have already done that this year, limiting their opponents to 40 high danger shots. The only team that's been better has been the Los Angeles Kings (who have surrendered 39 high danger shots).

    Travis Konecny.

If the Flyers stick to their defensive game, the Predators may start to open things up more to score - which the Flyers can take advantage of.
