The 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship kicks off their tournament games on December 26th. Pre-competition games have already begun.
The Philadelphia Flyers are on the first day of a five day break. In the void of new Flyers games we will be providing some coverage of the World Junior Championship - specifically Team USA.

Team USA played two pre-competition games. Here were the results:
Team USA will now get Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off before the tournament begins.
USA will kick off their tournament games on Boxing day. They play their final game before the medal rounds on December 31st.
Similar to Team Canada's schedule, three of the four games are all at the same time. The 6 AM Eastern Time is going to be rough for anyone on the West Coast who wants to watch the game.

Every medal round game will take place in January 2024. There will be three days of games.
With the team that USA has constructed there is a very high chance that the team will make it all the way to the Silver and/or Gold medal game. Although the high hopes suggest anything less than a Gold medal will be a disappointment.
