The Pittsburgh Penguins will play their second straight game without Bryan Rust in the lineup.
As the Pittsburgh Penguins prepare for a Black Friday matchup against the Buffalo Sabres, they will do so again without forward Bryan Rust.
This will be the second straight game where Rust is out of the Penguins lineup due to a lower-body injury.
Rust was with the team during morning skate, but head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed that he will be out against Buffalo.
Sullivan stated that things are status quo for all of the injured Penguins, including Rust, who is making progress, but still day-to-day.
In their first game without Rust on their first line, Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel were joined by Drew O’Connor.
Sullivan liked what he saw from O’Connor and will likely be right back in that spot for the second straight game.
The Penguins will continue to be without Rickard Rakell, Chad Ruwhedel, and P.O. Joseph.
