
The Pittsburgh Penguins have moved P.O. Joseph to the AHL as he continues to work his way back from injury.
As he nears a return to health, the Pittsburgh Penguins have moved defenseman P.O. Joseph to the AHL for conditioning purposes.
Joseph has not seen the Penguins lineup since their 10-2 drumming of the San Jose Sharks and was later disclosed as dealing with a nagging injury.
He was soon moved to long-term injured reserve where he has been ever since.
Over the last few weeks, however, Joseph has slowly been working his way back to health; he’s been skating with the team during practices and skates.
The Penguins have utilized their AHL team for conditioning stints a couple of times already this season with goalie Alex Nedeljkovic and defenseman John Ludvig seeing time with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
Before Joseph suffered this injury, he was healthy scratched from the lineup for multiple games, holding him to only five appearences this season.
In those five games, Joseph only have one assist to his name.
Head coach Mike Sullivan has said before that he planned on returning Joseph to the lineup, but the injury continued to linger.
When Joseph is ready to go, expect him make his way back to the ice.
