After just a game away, Noel Acciari has returned to the Pittsburgh Penguins lineup.
PITTSBURGH – After just one game out, Noel Acciari has returned to the Pittsburgh Penguins lineup against the Seattle Kraken. Acciari was a late scratch against the Carolina Hurricanes and was labeled as day-to-day by head coach Mike Sullivan.
Ahead of their battle with the Seattle Kraken, Sullivan stated that Acciari would be a game-time decision. Acciari was present for pregame warmups and with the official lineup announcement, it was confirmed that Acciari is back after just one game away.
During a practice following the overtime loss to the Hurricanes, Acciari skated in his normal fourth line center role and was a full participant with the rest of his Penguins teammates.
Recalled forward Collin White skated in Acciari’s fourth line spot during the game and with Reilly Smith already out, Radim Zohorna slotted back into the lineup. White recorded 7:21 of ice time while Zohorna played 4:26.
With Acciari returning to the lineup, White is the odd-man out and Zohorna will stick in the lineup. Zohorna will suit up on the third line with Lars Eller and Valtteri Puustinen.
