The Pittsburgh Penguins are just about ready for puck drop on the 2023-24 regular season.

With one last preseason game on the docket, the Pittsburgh Penguins are looking at it as a final tune up before the start of a new year.

As the Penguins trim their roster, they will have a lineup stacked with NHL talent for their last exhibition contest.

The obvious stars like Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang will take to the ice along with newcomers like Erik Karlsson and Ryan Graves.

Tristan Jarry will likely start between the pipes for the Penguins with Alex Nedeljkovic as backup.

As for the depth, there could still be a final push made for a roster spot from a couple of names.

Defenseman Ryan Shea has yet to be cut from the roster and is listed as active against the Buffalo Sabres.

Radim Zohorna has turned quite a few heads this camp and will get yet another possible crack as he is also listed as active.

Colin White is on a professional tryout contract and impressed head coach Mike Sullivan in his efforts against the Detroit Red Wings.

While Jake Guentzel has been skating with the team, he has been lifted from the Penguins injured list.

Sullivan said the main priority for the Penguins in this last exhibition game is to be ready to go for Game 1 of the regular season.

However the lineup falls in Buffalo could be exactly how it looks come the regular season.
