PITTSBURGH – For the 11th straight time, the Pittsburgh Penguins are turning to Alex Nedeljkovic as their starting netminder. Heading into a massively important contest against the Boston Bruins, Nedeljkovic carries a 10-game point streak and has been a massive reason for the Penguins push for the postseason.

Following morning skate, where Tristan Jarry was the only goalie present, head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed it would be Nedeljkovic's net.

Sullivan recently also stated there are no worries about Nedeljkovic’s endurance, and they believe he can put together as many straight appearances as needed. Nedeljkovic said himself he still feels good and ready for whatever role he is put in.

Nedeljkovic has faced the Bruins twice this season, giving up five goals both times. Both games took place in Boston, and the Penguins won one of them by a score of 6-5.

The Penguins hold the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference, but just by a point. The Washington Capitals, Detroit Red Wings, and Philadelphia Flyers are all one point behind. If the Penguins can pull off a win over the Bruins, and those listed teams all lose, they will need just one point in their final two games to clinch a spot in the playoffs.

Nedeljkovic hasn’t been a perfect goalie over his stretch, but he’s gotten the job done with a 7-0-3 record and a .905 save percentage.
