Winger Returns to Penguins Lineup Against Hurricanes

Radim Zohorna will suit back up in the Pittsburgh Penguins lineup against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Kris Letang believes the Pittsburgh Penguins are on an upward trajectory at the midpoint of the season.

PITTSBURGH – Despite a recall of Colin White from the American Hockey League, Radim Zohorna will work his way back into the Pittsburgh Penguins lineup. With Reilly Smith on the shelf long-term, the Penguins had an empty roster spot to fill and Zohorna has been given the nod.

Zohorna will get another chance at the lineup after spending the last couple of weeks as a healthy scratch. When Smith suffered his injury, he was skating on the third line with Lars Eller and Valtteri Puustinen. The Penguins are lining Zohorna up right in that third-line spot.

Recent recall White will serve as a healthy scratch in his first call up of the 2023-24 season.

Zohorna hasn’t had a great run in the NHL after his first few games of the year. In 29 total games, Zohorna has scored four goals and three assists for seven total points.

Since late November, Zohorna hasn’t seen too much ice time averaging 8:46 in his last 14 games; he also only has one goal in that time.

The rest of the Penguins lineup will remain the same from their battle against the Vancouver Canucks.
