Pittsbugh Penguins' players weigh on their favorite holiday songs - as well as the songs that grind their gears

Happy Holidays, Penguins fans! In celebration of the holiday season, I've already asked Pittsburgh Penguins players if Die Hard is a Christmas movie.

This time, I asked the guys which holiday songs are their favorite and which ones grind their gears to listen to.

    Favorite holiday song:

Tristan Jarry: I don't really listen to Christmas music.

Anthony Beauvillier: I like "Mistletoe" by Justin Bieber.

Cody Glass: I think my favorite is "Mistletoe" by Justin Bieber.

Kevin Hayes: It's gotta be "Mistletoe." Bieber. It's the best.

Sidney Crosby: Oh, geez. I don't know, I like them all, to be honest with you.

Owen Pickering: I like "Little Drummer Boy" and "Silent Night." Two of my favorites.

Ryan Graves: Ooh. So many different ways to go. I mean, I don't know if you can just pick one. You've gotta go with Mariah Carey's, "All I Want for -"

Ryan Shea, interrupting: "-That means you don't have one."

(To Shea) So is that your least favorite? I actually like it. I like her, so... But mine is... cold outside... what's it called? Oh, "Let It Snow." Yeah, yeah, that one.

Graves: Oh, that one's good, too. That's my top-two.

Nathan Clurman: I like the Michael Buble album. That's probably my favorite.

Noel Acciari: Especially with my kids now, they're starting to like (holiday music). "Rudolph" and "Frosty" are big right now, so we hear that a lot. But my favorite might be "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree."

Phil Tomasino: Holiday song? I don't know. There's actually a lot, I don't know. I can't choose just one. Mariah Carey's a little overplayed, so I don't want to say that one. I used to like "Frosty the Snowman" when I was a kid, so let's go with that one.

Rickard Rakell: Actually, I have a new whole album. It's a Swedish A Cappella group... Dad Harmony... they sing American songs, and they're really good.

Jesse Puljujarvi: I like "Snowman" by Sia.

Drew O'Connor: "Feliz Navidad" is my favorite.

Matt Grzelcyk: I think Mariah Carey is up there. That's where she makes all of her money, around this time, so I always hear that one.

Alex Nedeljkovic: Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas" is, obviously, so iconic, but... it's almost like I listen to it as a meme now, you know, on videos or gifs or stuff like that.

Kris Letang: I don't really have any favorite Christmas songs. Not really. I mean, I'll listen to Christmas music, but I couldn't even tell you the titles.

Michael Bunting: I don't know, I like them all! I'm a brutal person this time of year. Probably "Jingle Bells." That's a good one, that's an O.G. Actually, I like "Rudolph", too. That's a big one, yeah.

Holiday song that grinds your gears:

Beauvillier: Not any, not yet. I like Christmas music, I'm a big Christmas guy. I haven't heard enough of it for any to bother me yet.

Bunting: Hmmm... least favorite, least favorite... I don't have a least favorite. Christmas is my favorite holiday, so any Christmas music.

Do you start at Thanksgiving? Once December hits. I'm not THAT crazy. Once Dec. 1 hits, though, the tree's up.

Grzelcyk: I can't really think of a bad one, to be honest. Nothing that comes to mind.

Crosby: I don't think I have a least favorite. I like 'em all. I love Christmas, I love the holidays, so there's not one I would say I don't like.

Acciari: When I was younger, it was "The First Noel." Like, everyone was looking at me, and I'd get upset because it's not "Noel." Not quite my name, but I'd always look away from people when it came on.

Tomasino: Honestly, the Mariah Carey one, because it just gets overplayed so much. Like, it's a great song, but I hear it probably 700 times at Christmas. So, that's probably the one that I get pretty annoyed with.

Rakell: I'm kinda over "All I Want for Christmas is You."

O'Connor: "Jingle Bells" is probably my least favorite.

    Puljujarvi: "Jingle Bells."

Clurman: Probably, like, the really poppy, new Christmas songs. I like the classics. I don't know the song names, though.

Glass: My least favorite is "I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas." I don't know why, it's just so annoying to me. My roommate in junior, all of December, would always listen to or just turn on the Christmas channel or whatever, and we would listen to it nonstop. And every time that song came on, I would lose it.

Yeah, that one and "Two Front Teeth" are the ones that I can't listen to. Yeah! Are they sung by the same people?

I don't know, but they sound the same. Yeah. It's just the voice, just, like, all of it put together.

Like the fake child voice? Yes, yes. It's that.

Bryan Rust: To be honest, I'm not a big holiday music person. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, it will be going in our house basically all day, but now, during the holiday season, it's more Christmas movies than Christmas music.

Graves: My bottom one? Maybe, like, Alvin and the Chipmunks. They're pretty crap.

(Graves to Shea): What's your least favorite Christmas song, Grinch? "The Grinch."
