Despite uncertainty, the Pittsburgh Penguins will have Jason Zucker and Jake Guentzel in the lineup.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have fallen out of playoff positioning with three weeks left in the season, but are they better off missing the postseason?

After an emergency recall of goalie Dustin Tokarski and forward Filip Hallander, the Pittsburgh Penguins will have the same lineup of skaters.

Both Jake Guentzel and Jason Zucker looked hobbled following the Penguins’ win over the Colorado Avalanche and it wasn’t certain they would play against the Dallas Stars.

Head coach Mike Sullivan listed Guentzel and Zucker as game-time decisions and stated Tokarski and Hallander were on their way.

With the official roster announcement, it was confirmed that Guentzel and Zucker were in against the Stars.

Hallander was subsequently re-assigned to the AHL.

Tokarski remained on the NHL roster as Tristan Jarry is out with a lower-body injury.

The Penguins are rolling with the same forward group that they had in Colorado, and that includes Alex Nylander as a healthy scratch.
