Alex Nylander will make his way back to the Pittsburgh Penguins roster.

PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Penguins have again recalled forward Alex Nylander from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on an emergency basis.

This is Nylander’s second recall in under a week by the Penguins and in his one game at the NHL level, he recorded an assist.

Nylander showed he can cut it at the NHL level despite almost three years away, and he seemed to have gained the approval of head coach Mike Sullivan.

With it being another emergency recall, Nyalnder’s salary will not count against the Penguins cap.

In Nylander’s one game with the Penguins he played on a roster with 11 forwards and seven defenders.

During his time at the AHL level, Nylander has led the WBS Penguins with 25 goals and 25 assists for 50 points.
