The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced which future stars will take part in the annual Prospect Challenge.
With a little under a week until the start of the annual NHL Prospect Challenge, the Pittsburgh Penguins have released their roster for the 2023 Tournament.
The Penguins are set to play in three games in Buffalo and will have a roster full of the franchise’s top prospects and roster hopefuls.
Some standouts on the active roster include recent first round pick Brayden Yager, NHL hopeful Sam Poulin, and top goalie prospect Joel Blomqvist.
One notable prospect absent from the active roster is top prospect defenseman Owen Pickering.
The Penguins place him, along with Nolan Collins and Raivis Ansons, on an injured list.
The roster consists of 16 forwards, eight defensemen, and three goalies in total and the Penguins begin the tournament against the Boston Bruins on Friday, Sept. 15.
The Penguins conclude their games on the following Monday against the host Buffalo Sabres.
