Penguins Top Prospect Continues Hot Streak in WHL

Bryaden Yager is following up his impressive training camp with the Pittsburgh Penguins with a great start to his WHL year.

Pittsburgh Penguins' captain Sidney Crosby talks about the opportunity to play in his home province of Nova Scotia.

Ever since departing Pittsburgh Penguins training camp, top prospect Brayden Yager has been on a hot streak with his Western Hockey League club.

As a member of the Moose Jaw Warriors, the Penguins prospects is having a fantastic start to his 2023-24 WHL season.

Yager recorded a pair of goals and an assist in his first game back to the WHL, but wasn’t done there.

In his second game back with the Warriors, Yager picked up two more points including the game winning goal in overtime.

With just over two minutes remaining in the overtime period, Yager found his wide open space after jumping onto the ice following a line change.

A move wasn’t necessary as Yager’s shooting ability is unmatched; all he needed was a perfectly placed shot to beat the Regina Pats’ goalie.

The Penguins knew they had someone special when they took Yager 14th overall at the 2023 Draft.

Yager stood out from the crowd during his first training camp with the Penguins, even as an 18-year-old.

In two games since returning to the WHL, Yager has picked up five points and a pair of game-winning goals.
