Pittsburgh Penguins' captain Sidney Crosby is the 15th player to ever hit 1,500 points.

Over the last 18 seasons, the Pittsburgh Penguins have been blessed with one of the greatest players to ever lace a pair of skates.

Sidney Crosby has been far and away the best player on the Penguins through the 2022-23 season, but he continues to cement his legacy as one of the greatest.

With a three-point game against the Detroit Red Wings, Crosby reached the 1,500th point of his career, a number only hit by 14 other players in NHL history.

In just the 1,188th game of his career, Crosby became the sixth-fastest player to hit the 1,500-point mark.

Nearing the end of his 18th season in the NHL, Crosby has combined 550 goals and 950 assists to reach the new milestone.

Over his 18 years, Crosby has never had a season below a point-per-game and his peak came in 2006-07 with 120 points (36G-84A) in 79 games.

Any milestone Crosby reaches down the stretch of his career are numbers that should have been knocked down a long time ago.

Over the years, Crosby has missed 205 games due to injury and 93 thanks to lockouts or COVID shortened years.

If Crosby completes the 2022-23 season without missing a game it’ll only be his second ever 82-game season.

There is still all kinds of room for Crosby to add to his total, as even at the age of 35, there are no signs of slowing down.
