San Jose Sharks No. 1 center Tomas Hertl was ranked 100th on ESPN's top 100 NHL players.
Last season, Hertl was No. 98 on the same list. Hertl is the only Shark to make the list.
"While his profile has receded as the Sharks have in the standings, Hertl is still a high-level power forward in the West," ESPN's Greg Wyshynski writes.
Hertl's production has been steady throughout his career, and although it may begin to drop, it is because of the quality around him.
Fellow countryman Filip Zadina has said multiple times that he feels Hertl is one of the best players in the entire league.
A few players on this list are ranked too high, but Hertl should not be moved up much higher.
