With no San Jose Sharks hockey this week, THN gathered what many guys are up to.
At the last practice before the All-Star break, I asked some of the guys five quick-hit questions, with the first being what they were up to.
The biggest bromance in the room told me they were headed to Cabo.
"Get some sun at the beach," Zetterlund said.
"I would say no alarm clock," Eklund said about what he looks forward to most.
These two Swedes have grown close and formed a strong friendship.
"Get some rest. Chill and see some family," Kunin told THN. "[I'm] going to play a little golf and then go back home and see my wife."
Home for Kunin is Minnesota. His wife, Sophia, currently plays for PWHL Minnesota. They haven't been together for much of the season due to their hockey careers.
As for what Kunin is looking forward to the most, "Probably hanging with my dog," he said.
"I'm doing the opposite [of Kunin]. I'm going to Minnesota first. I haven't even been to my new house yet," Sturm said. "Then I'm going to Mexico for a couple of days."
Like Eklund and Zetterlund, Sturm is headed to Cabo.
"I don't know what hotel they're staying at. We haven't talked yet. Chances are you're going to run into some NHL guys," he said.
Sturm says he looks forward to sitting in the sun, enjoying a book, and having a drink.
That sounds like a dream, given the weather in California this week.
Blackwood is arguably the funniest guy in the Sharks locker room. When I started asking questions, he went full Marshawn Lynch with "No comment" and a big smile.
"Hawaii," Blackwood said. "What Island," I asked. "Maui," he said.
Blackwood couldn't help but laugh and try to make his locker mates give the same "no comment" response to me.
Blackwood said he was looking forward to playing golf while in Hawaii.
After some small heckling from Blackwood, Emberson gave me his real answer.
"[I'm going to] Florida. Naples," Emberson said.
Like Blackwood, he is looking forward to hitting the links.
MacDonald didn't give me any indications that he was traveling during the break. He recently returned from injury and has said he has had a "roller coaster of a season."
"I'm gonna have a nice nine days off," he said. "Just spending time with my wife and son. It's going to be really nice."
MacDonald will look to stay healthy when the Sharks return for practice starting on Saturday.
Burroughs is headed to Maui. He didn't confirm whether it was a trip with Blackwood, but there is a good chance they will run into each other.
"[I'm] going to golf. Go to the beach. Run on the beach. Get thrown around by some waves. That's about it," Burroughs said.
As for what he is looking forward to in Hawaii, "Spending time with my fiance," he said. "Obviously, with a busy schedule, it's been tough. She works as well, so it's nice to be able to get away and go on vacation and just spend the time together. [Doing that in] the sun and at the beach isn't too bad."
While the players have a relaxing break, the head coach will be in recovery mode.
Quinn revealed to the San Jose media that he will be getting his hip replaced.
"I'm having my hip replaced," Quinn said. "The anesthesia [is what I am looking forward to most]."
Hopefully, The Sharks will be much healthier when they return to the ice for practice on Saturday. They hope to get Mikael Granlund, Henry Thrun, Mario Ferraro, and Ty Emberson back from injury.
