Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports - Preseason Pregame #6: Sharks Head to Utah to Face Kings

The San Jose Sharks will play their final preseason game against the Los Angeles Kings in Salt Lake City.

Tonight's game will take place in the Delta Center, the home of the NBA's Utah Jazz.

MacKenzie Blackwood will get the nod in goal for San Jose. Kaapo Kahkonen has had a strong preseason, but head coach David Quinn said he hasn't decided on the opening night starter.

"Yeah, haven't even [had] one discussion about that," Quinn said. "We'll start talking about the opening day lineup once we get our team."

Blackwood told THN that his main focus tonight is playing his game. Although a cliche, playing in a different environment could change the game's approach.

"No matter what, you always just want to play your game," Blackwood said. "You can't really try and do more as a goalie if you get too amped up and move too much that actually hurts you. I think the thing is just being calm and trying to read the plays well and see the puck."

Quinn also confirmed that Mikael Granlund will make his San Jose Sharks preseason debut. Granlund had been day-to-day while dealing with a lower-body injury.

Quinn said he'd be open to a five-forward powerplay group early in training camp. At the morning skate today, Quinn deployed five forwards with Granlund at the point.

Kevin Labanc will also return to the lineup after dealing with an injury.

Puck drop is at 6 p.m. PT and will be available on ESPN+ and the Sharks Audio Network.
