Throughout this trip, many individual, team, and league records have been challenged. 

The Sharks have had some outstanding teams throughout their franchise history. Only once before was a four-goal comeback ever done in team history. 

Not only did they come back from four goals down, but it is the first time in franchise history they've come back from 3+ goals down in back-to-back games.

Sharks President Jonothan Becher found out that last night was a first in NHL history in terms of how iconic the second period was. 

Last night's game against the Detroit Red Wings almost tied an NHL record for most goals in three minutes. 

Tomas Hertl has five goals in his last two games. The last time he did that was his rookie season. 

Hertl has two game-tying goals with under two minutes remaining in regulation in back-to-back games. He is now tied with Patrick Marleau for the most in team history.

Hertl also has 17 shots in his last two games. 

Mikael Granlund is not to be outdone. His overtime goal last night was the fifth of his career. It was his first since Feb. 4, 2020, with the Nashville Predators. That goal also had more history behind it.

Per Darin Stephens, Granlund was the 4th player in NHL history to record his 500th career point via OT goal. The others are Tomas Sandstrom, Rod Brind'Amour, and Glen Murray.

Despite not being part of the last two comeback victories, this Mario Ferraro stat needs recognition. 

Against the New York Islanders, William Eklund got himself in the record book.

This team is playing hard-fought hockey to the buzzer and has been rewarded in the last two games. That trend can't continue if they want to be successful this season but enjoy the history being created for now.
