San Jose Sharks top prospect Macklin Celebrini will not play in the second Rookie Faceoff game against the Anaheim Ducks.

Acting head coach John McCarthy confirmed that the 2024 No. 1 pick will not play. The other scratches are Artem Guryev, Mitchell Russell, Gannon Larouque, Valtteri Pulli, and Gerogi Romanov.

Per McCarthy, it is unclear if Celerbrini will play another game in the tournament.

When asked if he would play, Celebrini was also non-committal.

"That's a Johnny Mac question," he said.

Here is tonight's lineup as posted by the team.

Puck drop is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. against the Anaheim Ducks. The game will be streamed on the team website and the Sharks Audio Network.
